Ty Hughes

Ty Hughes moved to Nebraska in 2000 from Kansas City.  He grew up on a farm, but became a Nebraska Cornhuskers fan and so he applied to graduate school and used that as an excuse to relocate. He is married to Rebecca and has four children. 

Ty always had a desire to build his own practice and began that effort in 2014.  He has been employed in the industry since 2000.  He enjoys coming into work everyday and building the relationships he has with his clientele.  He also loves the team with which he is privileged to work. 

Outside of work, Ty coaches his kids in sports, enjoys golf, reading, live music, and training for different races with his wife.  He is involved in his church, a men's group, and the Elkhorn/Bennington community where he lives.  Professionally, he is a:

• board member of Advisory Board for Finance, Banking and Real Estate at the University of Nebraska Omaha 
• host family for the Safe Families for Children Organization

In his first two years he was recognized as the 2015 and 2016 leading advisor in the Nebrasaka Great Plains office and in 2016 was ranked as the #2 overall New Advisor at Prinicipal.  He attributes that to doing business the right way and being a part of a team that is effectively serving their clientele.
